In the context of new media, “I am Jerry Guo”, a foreign online celebrity, has successfully practiced intercultural communication between China and the United States as a folk individual. This case can provide experience for the effective development of intercultural communication in the wave of globalization. This study argues that the success of Jerry Guo lies in the combination of hard discourse and soft forms.
